Honor Greta: Watch Her Powerful TED Talk

I was inspired last night by a post on Facebook from Sunrise Movement Gallatin County that asked us to honor Greta Thunberg, who was named Time’s Person of the Year yesterday, by watching (or re-watching) her powerful TED Talk from November 2018 (just three months after she began striking).

After rallying and making public comment at the Public Service Commission on Monday, only to have NorthWestern follow up the next day with what feels like well-timed theater to assert their power as a monopoly in the wake of the PSC hearing (by announcing they will invest more heavily in Colstrip), finding ground in Greta’s clear focus is just the right medicine.

Let’s all stay clear on what’s necessary: we must organize and act, and act, and act again, until we win.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • It’s infuriating that Greta is being smeared as a privileged white girl. The latest attack came from a black woman calling herself CharliePeach writing in Medium. She’s annoyed with Greta for not making racism her primary issue.
