It’s Happening: Gregory Richard Gianforte is Running for Governor in 2020

We all know what we get in Greg Gianforte, he is a journalist assaulter, he is a rabid and dangerous anti-abortion, anti-LGBT, hate group supporter and revolting gay conversion therapy funder.

Whooosh, that doesn’t even start in on his ties to white nationalism that in the wake of the New Zealand shooting need a closer look. Who is he funding? What does he stand for?

From the New Republic: Greg Gianforte has disturbing ties to White Nationalists:

Gianforte donated twice to the campaign of Taylor Rose, a Montana Republican with ties to Youth for Western Civilization and the Council for Conservative Citizens. Rewire also reports that Gianforte has donated to politicians affiliated with the Oathkeeper movement.

And Gianforte:

Served with [Douglas] Wilson on the board of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools.

With co-author Steven Wilkins, Wilson authored a book that characterized the institution of slavery as “a relationship based upon mutual affection and confidence.” He said of the ante-bellum South, “There has never been a multiracial society which has existed with such mutual intimacy and harmony in the history of the world.”

After what happened in the mass shooting in New Zealand we had hoped that the frightening comments would stop for a while, but sadly we heard some very frightening and dangerous comments from anti-abortion activists this week:

“I’ve done everything their is to do in the pro-life movement except shoot an abortionist”

This is what Greg Gianforte wants for Montana. He would sign these bills and put women’s health and safety at risk.

We must do everything in our power to prevent Greg Gianforte from becoming Governor of Montana.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • Unfortunately Gianforte is going to be very hard to beat if he gets past Fox in GOP primary. He has name recognition, won two US House races and has endless supply of money. Fox is the only chance of keeping the real right wing wackos bill from being signed if GG wins. At this point the democrats have a very short bench and no one has stepped forward to get into the race. It appears Daines is also getting a pass from the democrats and I certainly don’t like it . We could end up worse then Kansas.
