Stephanie Shriock, Kathleen Williams, Andy Shirtliff and more to headline Special Helena Dinner on Thursday

National Speaker to Rally Democrats in Helena!

Speakers include EMILY’s List National President Stephanie Schriock, U.S. House candidate Kathleen Williams, Andy Shirtliff for PSC and more!

This Thursday, September 20th, Stephanie Schriock, national president of Emily’s List and Kathleen Williams, Democratic U.S. House candidate, will headline the annual Lasagna for Democracy dinner at the Helena Civic Center. The dinner is hosted in partnership by the Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, and Jefferson County Democratic Central Committees and the Democratic Action Club of Helena (DAC).

Kathleen Williams:

I’m excited to join Stephanie Schriock, a tireless champion for pro-choice women in the state that first sent a woman to the U.S. House, I understand the challenges facing everyday Montanans, which is why I’ll work to lower healthcare costs and protect Social Security and Medicare. Congressman Gianforte’s agenda is just the opposite, and I look forward to highlighting those differences in Helena.

Democrats to speak also include Democratic candidate for Public Service Commission, Andy Shirtliff:

I’m driven by my love of our great state, and the passion to deliver for Montana families, small businesses, and I will fight hard for Montana consumers every day on the Public Service Commission.

I hope to see you Thursday in Helena for this wonderful event.

Other speakers include city commissioners, elected legislators and legislative candidates including:

  • Senators Jill Cohenour and Mary Caferro
  • Representatives Moffie Funk, Mary Ann Dunwell, Jenny Eck, Kim Abbott, Janet Ellis
  • Candidates Catherine Scott (HD 80), Bryher Herak (HD 75), Rob Farris-Olsen (HD 79)

Sandi Luckey, Chair of the Lewis & Clark County Democrats said:

Democrats, and people starting to lean Democrat, are showing up in increasingly larger numbers. There is a sense among many that they can’t sit on the sidelines anymore — that good people must do more to protect our Montana values. We’re excited that this dinner brings people together to be a part of getting that job done in this election cycle.

For tickets go to https://secure.actblue.com/donate/lcdcc-lasagna or purchase tickets at the door at 5:00pm at the Helena Civic Center on Sept. 20th.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
