Montana Politics Ryan Zinke

A List of Words and Phrases Banned at Ryan Zinke’s Department of the Interior

I’ll admit that I was surprised to learn over the weekend that the Trump Administration had banned the use of seven words and phrases at the Centers for Disease Control. Given the Right’s obsession with attacking their political opponents with the epithet “snowflake,” used to describe someone offended easily by things like words, it’s hard to imagine that Republicans would seek to ban them, but here we are.

Always a team player, though, Ryan Zinke at Interior immediately issued a list of word and phrases he will not permit to be uttered anywhere his personal flag is flying.

Worst of all, of course, are the other words and policies Zinke seems to have abandoned all use of: parks, wilderness, public lands, preservation, conservation, tribal consultation, and decency.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
