Montanans search “Impeach Trump”

Would President Pence or Ryan or Hatch or Tillerson be an improvement? Would a competent reactionary be better than an incompetent one?

According to a New York Times Op-Ed writer, Montanans are searching the Internet to find out:

Montana has made the most Google searches with the words “impeach” and “Trump.” These searches include “how to impeach Trump” and “impeach Trump petition.”

The piece is titled, “Liberals in Strange Places” and points out that just because a state appears red on political maps, doesn’t mean it’s devoid of progressive activists. It also reveals that states with larger percentages of Democrats don’t necessarily translate into a high number of activists.

Montana has a small percentage of Democrats (although one of them is the governor and another a senator) but a large percentage of liberal activists. Illinois has a large percentage of Democrats but a small percentage of liberal activists.

The story also notes that Montana ranks in the top 10 states to visit the liberal website Daily Kos.

Closer to home, the progressive Montana Facebook site, Big Sky Rising, has 7,435 activist members. Add in other sites like Indivisible MT with 1,765, Missoula Area Resistance Collective at 1,241, organizations such as Montana Progressive Democrats, Gallatin Progressive Action Network, 350 Montana and a bunch of sites and groups I’m sure I’ve missed, and you have a movement.
