This Fascist Could Win This Thing

8:21 p.m. I think it’s over. I just can’t do this.

8:09 p.m.  Brexit was Britain’s exit from the EU. What is a nation’s exit from reason called?

8:03 p.m. Is it too early to be rooting for Evan McMullin in Utah?

8:00 p.m. James Carville and Steve Schmidt are saying on MSNBC that HRC “has a chance” of being elected President.

7:55 p.m. MSNBC is reporting that Clinton is ahead in Virginia, with a lot of votes from the North and Richmond still to come.

7:52 p.m. I’m terrified for a country where this election could be close. The thought of Trump actually winning is unimaginable.

7:46 p.m. Those Stein and Johnson voters in Florida sure must be celebrating their efforts to protect liberty in America. Nice job.

7:34 p.m. It’s hard not to be terrified by these early returns. I wonder if Donald Trump is telling anyone that the election is rigged now.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • Don, I have been trying to tell people about this night for about the last twenty-five years or so now. And for my efforts, I was kicked off every blog in Montana for my efforts. They called me crazy, etc., too radical, too rude, uncivil, too extreme, etc. Well, let us now see how civil the nazzzis will be with them!

About twenty-five years ago the Dem state central committee was meeting here in GF. I attended. And I let them have it. Paddy the quitter Wms. was in attendance, as was Gloria Flora and her husband and others I can’t remember.

I basically told them and explained to them as best I could that these folks on the other side where NOT the so called loyal opposition, but that they were nazzzis, and that they were out to HURT you! And that they were kicking the living sh*t outta you!

And paddy wms. chastised me for this. He said that we can’t call names, for we’re Dems, and we’re civil.

Well, I said after that, just WHEN THE HELL DO YOU FIGHT BACK? AFTER IT’S TOO LATE?

And I guess that paddy wms. and the Dems were good with that. For you see, ONLY a moron with no sense of history at all couldn’t see this one coming. Hell, I’m an uneducated idiot and I could see it coming from a mile away. Why couldn’t they???

Look up Spain 1936 to see what’s coming. That’s about the only analogous point in history I can find. I always hoped and believed that our diversity would make fascism impossible here, but now, I find that I was wrong.

It didn’t have to be this way. The Dims didn’t fight back. So now, they have to eat a fascist sh*t sandwich and like it. Hope they like it. That’s why I gave up on the Dims in this state a long time ago.

History is repeating itself before our eyes, and I have a hard time accepting it.

  • On a good note, it looks like we’re not quite Antelope, Oregon just quite yet! Oh sure, Ginaforte and his inbreds for Jeeezus made a good run at it.
But we’re not quite ready to become the first Jeeeezus Cult State of Montany yet!

I thought for a minute there that we would have to call on the man with a big S on his chest to save us! You know who I mean. NO! No Superman, but Schweitzer Man! Yup! HE’S the big dude with a big S on his chest who may have to eventually do an intervention on our beloved Montana to get us OUT of this bizarre Ginaforate Jeeeezus cult!

Funny thing is that Schweitzer, like me, was raised in a strict Catholic tradition. And hell, we NEVER thought that the world was four thousand years old. EVER! For we were educated by scholars in the Catholic tradition, un LIKE the Ginaforte home skuuul crowd where every bald headed inbred is a scholar! For the record, just HOW many inbred scholars are there in the Jesuit camp?????? Or, to be more specific, HOME skuuled Jesuit scholars???

What a freakin’ buffoon Ginaforte is!

  • Oh, and p.s. A big thank you goes out to Dickhard Eeke of the GF Spitoon and ALL the other flocking wussies in the press who became the nutless wonders who aided and abetted the fascist take over our America. May you assshoooles rot in hell for being the cowardly little flocking pissssants that you are! Jeeebus. Ecke, you dikless wonder, how DO you sleep at night?

    • An extremely depressing night but one of the very few bright spots is knowing Amanda will be representing Montanans in the legislature.

  • Too soon for in depth consideration of what happened, how to work at surviving the result. We are on the cusp of entering a fascist nation, with non-whites, the poor, the ill and the elderly taking the brunt of Trump’s ignorance and venality. And then there’s foreign policy, nuclear threats, corrosive trade negotiations, the world’s financial condition in continual jeopardy. There’s a long list of dire consequences from yesterday’s election, and we need to be sure to remind the country that it was Comey’s blatant “fix” which defeated Hillary, not Trump’s deranged world view.
As we learn to live with and respond to the coming fascist regime, it will be incumbent upon us to remember and live by these words:
In 1918, Theodore Roosevelt wrote, “…to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
BTW as a refugee from fascist forces at a young age, I find it difficult to acknowledge that my home is on the verge of being ravished by another. Anyone, however, who thinks that Trump’s reign will not be fascism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia personified is being naive. Just thinking of his SCOTUS appointees is terrifying. Remembering his promises for dealing with other nations, for screwing 20+ million Americans out of their health insurance, having his (thin skinned, volatile) hand on the nuclear button, for being the poster boy for sexual predators, tax cheaters and stiffing of workers through multiple bankruptcies, all indicates the extent to which we will need to find ways to fight back, to obstruct, to seek a modicum of sensible government.
