Just how bad is the culture of gun violence in the United State? One need look no further than the muted news coverage about the execution style murder of eight people in Ohio this week for an answer. We’ve become so numbed, so deadened to the damage done by the gundamentalist lobby that even the killing of eight people isn’t at the top of the front page of every news site. Just another day of carnage is just that in a country whose politicians are so afraid of the NRA that even the most reasonable restrictions cannot be tolerated.
And so the national tragedy continues.

Report highlights increase in gun deaths involving children in Wisconsin – “The number of children killed by guns in Wisconsin has risen in the past few years, prompting new calls for efforts to help limit access to firearms for some of the most vulnerable. A report from the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families found a 31-percent increase in the rate of children killed by guns between 2008 and 2014.
