Give Me a Break

As if the daily Mallard Fillmore comic strip isn’t enough, the Missoulian decided to put this up on its Opinion Page.

There are so many things that are wrong with the cartoon.  But I suppose if the characters featured were violent felons or had serious mental health issues, and a background check of the 1775 data base had flagged them, they might not have their muskets.  This is so not timely or relevant.

I’m sure the Burns, Ore., “patriots” compare our federal government to the British monarchy of yore.  They’re historically challenged.  And I still don’t understand this reluctance to background checks, unless you probably shouldn’t have a gun.

Anyway, thanks for pandering, Missoulian.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
