What’s Really Inside Your Cleaning Products? and Women’s Voices for the Earth (WVE) are working to ensure that consumers know exactly what ingredients make up the fragrances in SC Johnson’s products—something they refuse to tell us now. To that end, they’ve submitted over 50,000 signatures asking for that information from SC Johnson.

They’ve produced this great ad deconstructing the company’s refusal to share the details about the chemicals used in their fragrances with American consumers, despite sharing that information in the European Union:

The ad is a response to this SC Johnson commercial.

“SC Johnson publicly touts their commitment to honesty and transparency while keeping fragrance ingredients in products a secret, and their customers find this double standard unacceptable,” said Cassidy Randall, Director of Outreach and Engagement at Women’s Voices for the Earth. “Consumers have a right to know what chemicals are in products like Glade, especially if those chemicals may harm their health.”

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
