Thanks to the Polish Wolf—and an Invitation to Write

The Polish Wolf (or Matt, if you prefer) is headed off out of our glorious state for awhile, and while I hope he’ll continue writing for us, this is as good a moment as any to thank him for his excellent writing on the site over the past couple of years. He’s not added a new perspective, but demonstrated a willingness to engage in discussions on this site and others that I admire. I know I can’t wade into the comments the way he has, and the site will certainly miss that energy. His 178 posts on the site probably generated more useful discussion than all of mine combined

Thanks so much for your writing, Matt, and best of luck in your next adventure.

Matt’s transition is also an excellent reminder that adding new writers always improves this site, and I’d like to extend an offer to readers and non-readers (who happen to be pointed to this post) who are interested in doing some writing. I’ve already asked a few people who I know would be great, but if you’re interested or know someone who should be, get in touch.

There really are only a few general requirements. I’d prefer writers who are:

  • generally somewhere between moderate and far Left in their politics;
  • able to write and proofread with basic command of the English language and its conventions;
  • interested primarily in Montana politics, social issues, and culture with the occasional foray into domestic and international affairs welcome.

I’m especially interested in adding writers who can speak on college and education issues, the environment, and civil rights questions–as well as writers who wear Fedoras when they compose.

You can write anonymously or under your own name and the pay will be the same. Nothing.

Interested? Drop me a note.

If you do, I probably won’t post a picture of you from high school when you get your thank you post.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • PW was easily one of Montana’s best blog authors concerning international affairs, and seemed to have a charming obliviousness regarding those who sought to derail discussion with Ad Hominem and off-topic diversion. Focused, the lad surely is. Thanks The Polish Wolf, and know that you will be missed.
