Montana Politics

How Montana’s Right Wing Spent the Easter Weekend (in Pictures)

Given the tendency of Montana’s rightwing leaders to proclaim themselves good Christians, I found myself curious how they spent the Easter weekend. As is normally the case, they didn’t disappoint.

The intellectual leader of Montana’s TEA Party movement, Eric Olsen, demonstrated his typical command of the facts:

It was Google. And Cesar Chavez.

Former legislator and prolific purveyor of online hate Ed Butcher offered this sensitive take on Nancy Pelosi and the President of the United States:

Well-known bigot and current legislator David Howard continued his curious fixation on homosexuality, linking to perhaps the world’s worst and least scientifically credible web site to attack those who are gay:

And Steve Daines is trying way too hard to fit in:

As for Jesus, he said in Matthew:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. 46For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • I vote the Eric Olson one as the best that had me laughing my ass off. You could not have made a parody account for him and come up with something funnier than that.
