Calling a few good students…Want to go to DC?

I’ll take a break from my normal posts to make a brief public service announcement. Montana students interested in politics or public policy have a fantastic opportunity: intern in Washington, DC for the Senate Finance Committee.

The Majority office for the Senate Finance Committee is looking for interns and law clerks for Spring and Summer 2013. Montana students are strongly preferred. As a former Finance intern, I can testify that this is one of the best internships in Washington.  Most Capitol Hill interns open mail and do data entry. Finance interns do policy work: conduct in-depth research, attend meetings and briefings on and off the Hill, and provide critical support to perpetually busy Committee staff. It’s a great chance for Montana students to see one of the most important committees.

All the important details on this flyer. College, graduate, or law students and recent graduates are all welcome to apply.

If you’re interested or have questions, email me and I’ll put you in touch with the intern coordinator. Spring applicants should apply this week, while summer applicants have until April 15.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
