The Difference Between Senator Tester and Would-be Senator Rehberg Couldn’t Be More Clear

Shares

While Representative Rehberg is content to pass legislation naming post offices and propose bills which would allow lead in children’s toys, Senator Tester is working for veterans.  Most recently, the Senate and House unanimously voted for his measure to help veterans find work, the Vow to Hire Heroes Act, which

  • ensures that military experience counts for veterans who wish to become civilian truck drivers, paramedics or health providers, mechanics or engineers;
  • provides tax incentives for companies that hire veterans – particularly those who have been unemployed for long periods of time;
  • makes the Transition Assistance Program mandatory for most service members transitioning to civilian status;
  • expands educational and training opportunities for older veterans.

One candiate is a political leader, the other simply a politician, far more interested in grandstanding than legislating.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we\'d certainly appreciate it.
