Your Republican Scientists in the Montana Legislature

It’s hard to argue with reasoning like this. Confronted by environmental groups who say that the legislative Environmental Quality Council’s draft recommendations don’t do enough to address greenhouse gas emissions, Representative Chas Vincent of Libby had this to say:

“I believe the science is not resolved,” Vincent said. “And there’s a growing body of evidence that shows there are many things that factor into climate change. Do I agree that there is climate change happening? Yes. Do I believe man is the indicator? No.”

It might be a starting point for Representative Vincent to learn what an “indicator” is. I’d also be fascinating to learn what scientific research he’d consulted. I suspect it was on the AM dial.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
