Dennis Rehberg Answers Me About His Schedule…Sort Of

Four months after my initial request and
three months after I first e-mailed Dennis Rehberg’s office about
the availability of his schedule I received
this very personal reply from the Congressman’s office today:

Thank you for contacting me regarding my daily
schedule. I appreciate your suggestions.

Currently, my office is constructing a new
congressional website. As soon as all of the changes and updates
are made to the new website, I will post my schedule.

Thanks again for contacting me. For
further information or to sign up for my e-newsletter, please visit
my website at Keep in touch.

That’s certainly reassuring, given that Rehberg told Lee reporter
Noelle Straub that Rehberg’s office “seems to be putting together
a distribution system so people can sign up to receive his schedule
on a regular basis” three months ago. Since that time, there has
been no update or correction in any of the Lee papers.

Political hacks like Dennis Rehberg only get to keep lying to us
when the press and the public abrogate their responsibility to make
them tell the truth. Will the press ever followup on this story?
Don’t hold your breath.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
