Jon Tester Montana Politics

Tester-Burns-Mexunitecan Debate Thoughts

Tester won the debate. Burns seemed to be more on his game than the last debate, but his answers were often a rambling series of disconnected remarks. Burns often talked as if he had no idea what the question was.

Stan Jones was a disastrous sideshow that effectively insulated Burns from direct criticism. Burns looked almost credible by comparison, and the lack of direct rebuttal between Tester-Burns was good for Connie. He’s a distraction who shouldn’t have been included, other than the Daily Show fodder.

I do enjoy how Conrad spends half of each debate talking about the pork he brought to the community where the debate was hosted.

Tester still needs to be more assertive about getting his response to Burns’ comments out first. They’re often buried after his prepared response. I’d recommend front-loading the response to make sure it has more impact.

Stan Jones was less blue than I expected.

Time to go invest in Americos.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.

  • If everything Mr. Blue Man had to say is hog wash, then where did the video go? You can’t view it anywhere on the internet anymore. What about this video is someone afraid of? It is very apparent who the Montanians are going to vote for. Tester, Tester, Tester, he’s our man. No real surprise. Where is the video? Answer that.
