Sony-BMG and You

Shares

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has an interesting report on the details of the the EULA (End User Legal Agreement) that you ‘agree’ to when you purchase a CD from Sony-BMG. Among the best items:

  • If you move out of the country, you have to delete all your music. The EULA specifically forbids “export” outside the country where you reside.
  • If you file for bankruptcy, you have to delete all the music on your computer.
  • Seriously.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we would certainly appreciate it.
