Do not vote by mail!

Unless you already have.

Despite some confusion fomented by Republican groups who tried to confuse Montana voters about when ballots need to be sent, they need to be received by county election offices on Election Day to be counted, and because of the massive cuts Republicans forced on the Post Office, there’s no guarantee that a ballot sent today will arrive in time to be counted.

At this point, your best bet is to hand deliver your ballot at the county election office. If you have a ballot but aren’t sure that you can make it in, please send me a note here and I will get you in touch with someone who would be happy to deliver your ballot (safely ensconced in its privacy envelope).

This election is too important for any ballots not to make it in. We have a real chance to unseat Greg Gianforte before he attacks someone or our safety net again. We have a real chance to keep Jon Tester fighting for Montanans in Washington. And we have a chance to bring a voice for consumers to the PSC and keep impartial leadership at the office of the Clerk of the Montana Supreme Court.

Don’t listen to the polls that say your candidate is too far ahead to lose or too far behind to win; get yourself to the polls.

This message should have been brought to you by the Montana Secretary of State’s office, but Secretary Stapleton is too busy challenging members of the media to battles of wit. Oh, and he doesn’t work on Fridays.

If you appreciate an independent voice holding Montana politicians accountable and informing voters, and you can throw a few dollars a month our way, we\'d certainly appreciate it.
