Secretary Zinke Misleads the Public on Meetings with Lobbyists, Contractors and No One is Surprised

Shares

In news that is anything but surprising, CNN is reporting that Secretary of Interior Ryan Zinke is hiding details from his official calendar, keeping details about meetings with lobbyists and contractors who work with Interior hidden from the public.

I think this makes the 15th investigation into Zinke’s ethics since he has taken the helm at Interior, and those of us who have followed his career know that there will only be more to come.

When Zinke ultimately slinks back to Montana, whether to run his Halliburton brewhouse or run for another office, I hope that he’ll continue to face the same kind of scrutiny some of us correctly predicted he would wither under in Washington.
