Governor Bullock slams Trump Twitter Habit

Governor Bullock stated today about the deployment of the Montana National Guard:

“The responsibility of sending Guard soldiers anywhere – overseas or to a forest fire – is one of the most difficult things I’m faced with and I’ll never do it based simply on the whim of the President’s morning Twitter habit.” as reported by Matt Volz of the AP

This was in response to President Trump’s rambling and incoherent tweets about sending U.S. troops to the Mexico-U.S. border. As many are aware of Mexico is an ally of the United States and one of our main trading partners. To send troops to the border could be interpreted as an act of aggression against our neighbor to the south.

It is good to see Governor Bullock stand up to the troubling and erratic behavior of the Trump Presidency as he stands on the verge of calamity and grasps for straws at every turn.
