Gianforte Won’t Return $344,000 in NRA Donations After Parkland High School Shooting Kills 17 Kids

Greg Gianforte took over $344,000 from the gun lobby during his May 2017 special election campaign for Congress. Greg Gianforte has yet to return these donations after the Valentine’s Day shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida that killed 17 people and injured another 15.

Greg Gianforte had previously refused to return these donations after 600 people were injured or murdered during the Las Vegas concert shooting in 2017.

The New York Times reported:

Most Americans support stronger gun laws — laws that would reduce deaths. But Republicans in Congress stand in the way. They fear alienating their primary voters and the National Rifle Association.

Greg Gianforte received the fifth most donations from the NRA among house members according to the New York Times report below:

It’s time for Montanans to stand up to Greg Gianforte and send him back into private industry as he does not serve the public interest and does not serve the people of Montana.
