This year we’ve got a spirited contest for who will be the Democratic Party’s nominee for U.S. Congress. Most, if not all, of our candidates would better serve Montana than Greg Gianforte and Grant Kier is definitely at the top of the list. Perhaps that’s why he’s received the endorsements of progressive superstars Mayor John Engen, Senator Tom Facey, and John Roach.
Here’s what Mayor Engen had to say in a recent letter-to-the-editor:
It ain’t about ego for Grant Kier. It’s about service. It’s about working to ensure the place he loves gets better for all of us and for generations to come. It’s about compassion for those who need it, equity for folks of all walks of life, fairness, common sense and hard work.
Here’s a bit of what Senator Facey had to say about Kier:
Kier is that new leadership that our state needs. He understands Montana values and needs, and won’t compromise to the big corporations or special interests who are trying to take our democracy away.
I fully endorse Grant Kier in his bid to become Montana’s lone representative and encourage other Montana Democrats to do the same.
John Roach wrote this:
When I arrived [at a Democratic Congressional Candidate Forum], I did not know who I wanted to represent me in D.C. Now, I’m sure that Grant Kier should get the job. I believe he can help return civility to Washington while fighting to ensure that Montanans have access to good, affordable healthcare, an excellent education and a clean, healthy environment.
