Maryland Matt Rosendale Opposed Bipartisan Medicaid Expansion That Helps Over 90,000 Montanans

Shares

Two years ago this week, wealthy real estate developer Matt Rosendale introduced a resolution expressing opposition to funding Medicaid expansion. The bipartisan measure Rosendale opposed has helped more than 90,000 Montanans get care and has saved the state of Montana over $40 million.

Rosendale also voted against the bipartisan bill that actually expanded Medicaid in Montana, a vote against providing financial help to rural hospitals and providing health care access to tens of thousands of people across Montana. Despite his vote against Montanans, the bill was passed into law and has been “absolutely critical” in helping veterans and other Montanans fighting drug addiction.

Those aren’t the end of Maryland Matt’s anti-Montanan beliefs. He has also supported eliminating essential health benefits including coverage for pregnant mothers, prescription drugs and mental health, all while rubber-stamping higher health care costs for Montanans.

It’s fairly obvious that Matt Rosendale doesn’t know anything about Montana or care about Montana.

Instead of fighting for Montanans he has abandoned Montanans over and over again. In opposing Medicaid Expansion Matt Rosendale has shown that he doesn’t care about making healthcare affordable and accessible to all Montanans, just his wealthy out of state donors.
