I’m aware of three four rallies to protest the Republican tax bill.

  • I’ve always wondered why these events are scheduled at a time when it’s very difficult for workers to get there. Is it to get media coverage instead of a big crowd?

    • The offices are closed after 5 so the Staff for whatever office they are protesting at don’t see the protest and can’t feel the community asking for change. TV crews do most of their daily recording before 5 as well, but these seem rather organic and lots of retired folks can attend and ask to make sure Medicare and Social Security are saved.

    • Starting the rallies at noon allows some working people to attend during their lunch hour. I do think that congressional field offices should be open until 2100 several days a week for the convenience of working people.
