5. Representative David Howard Suggests Civil War If Obama is Re-elected (September 24, 2012)
We’re not talking about some random constitutionalist living in the woods here, but someone the Republican Party in Montana has entrusted with a committee chairmanship in the Legislature. We’re talking about an elected official who is so far removed from reality that he honestly believed a civil war might be necessary if his side loses a political election.
4. Hill’s Mystery Donor is the Republican Governors Association (October 25)
Hill willingly disregarded the limits passed by Montana voters and took money from an anonymous, out-of-state donor, funneled through the state Republican Party to look like Montana money.
Corporations—probably out of state corporations—are trying to buy Montana’s elections, and the Montana GOP, Rick Hill, and Tim Fox are more than willing to sell out our voters and our democratic process. It seems to fair to ask what they expect to give up in return.
