Death Panels

Mark, Craig and I have been discussing death panels lately. I’d like to point out that last year 48 Americans were killed based on the recommendations of a 12 person panel. So, there’s that.

  • To stick with medicine as an example: I know someone who was insured and who had melanoma, and then the company dropped the insurance plan and told her to go buy her own, and no insurance company would cover her because she had had melanoma.

Death panel? She’s now covered by Medicare, who did not exclude her even though she had had melanoma.

Death panels … they do exist. But where?

  • And, of course, there’s that death panel headed by those chickenhawks George Bush and Dick Cheney responsible for the deaths of 5,000 Americans and who knows how many Iraqi and Afghan civilians.

  • I am curious to find out what blog system you have been using? I’m having some small security problems with my latest site and I would like to find something more safe. Do you have any suggestions?
