More Assistance for Republicans: A Rehberg Achievement Special

Shares

It must be the generous spirit engendered by the winter weather, but I feel inspired to help Montana Republicans again. No, I’m not posting Steve Daines’ name on my site again to see if he’ll keep googling it from work, but rather, because I want Representative Rehberg’s last campaign announcement in Montana to go well.

I know his staff is really busy. All those tweets and Facebook posts certainly don’t write themselves. Given the enormous stress of their jobs, I’ve taken it upon myself to write up a handy guide they can give the media during Rehberg’s announcement with his new BFF Michelle Bachman on Saturday. It details all of his achievements in Congress.

Okay, I’m really busy, too. So I couldn’t make a big list. I’ll let former Rehberg Chief of Staff Erik Iverson make the case for Rehberg’s efforts:

“Time and again,” Rehberg has backed legislation that matters to Montanans, Iverson says. He’s sponsored bills to recognize Billings’ 125th anniversary, push for a water project in Fort Peck, and congratulate Carroll College’s football team for its 2007 league win. Most importantly, supporters say, Rehberg co-sponsored the CLEANUP (Clean, Learn, Abolish, Neutralize, and Undermine Production of Methamphetamines) Act to focus federal authorities on the meth problem. The bill is still in committee.

Hell, I think Pat Williams has done more recently for Montana as a member of Congress than Rehberg, and he retired in 1997.
