It Gets Better

As a high school teacher, I don’t want any of my students to feel like they need to wait to feel free of harassment, bullying, or the threat of violence, but the reality is that many kids feel an incredible sense of despair when they are mistreated in schools.

That’s why Dan Savage’s It Gets Better Project is such a great idea. Kids, struggling with families, friends, and institutions that can’t understand them, need to know that their lives will get better and that they can have wonderful, fulfilling lives full of love.
