How Crazy is Sarah Palin?

Shares

This crazy:

Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska announced Thursday that she would step down by the end of the month and not seek a second term as governor, allowing her to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

Ms. Palin, who was Senator John McCain’s vice presidential running mate in last year’s election and rallied the party’s conservative base, explained her decision at a news conference at her home in Wasilla, accompanied by her husband, Todd, and other family members.

“We know we can effect positive change outside of government,” she said in making the announcement.

Well, the country is in desperate need of another right wing keynote speaker. If that won’t fix the economy, then what will?

Of course, only someone with Palin’s unique sense of what it means to tell the truth could tell people in 2009 that she wants make change “outside of government” and then announce a bit for President in 2010.

  • She's bats**t crazy.

Seriously, listening to her press conference was excruciatingly painful. Even though I've always thought she was an idiot, it was horrid listening to her complete meltdown today, as she breathlessly poured forth rambling incoherence:

"Life is too short to compromise time and resources… it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out."

Then she quit, because that's what real winners do in PalinLand.

I think something big & bad (ethically/legally) is coming her way like an ice road trucker.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou to my fellow Obama/Biden voters who kept this idiot away from the WH/Veep's office.

  • I smell (another) Palin scandal brewing. Must be big.

She devoted a whole 5 minutes or more to talking about her indictments for ethics scandals and how the Alaskan taxpayers should have to deal with that – and how her and Todd have over $500,000 in legal bills.

She’s about to go down for something. We don’t know what it is – but I’m betting we’re about to find out.

    • That seems like the most likely explanation to me as well.

If I were ranking the most likely reasons right now, I would go with:

      1) legal scandal
      2) insanity
      3) The Todd's secessionist dreams

  • More information on “grassroots” supporters gathering across the nation to support Sarah Palin for President in 2012 can be found online at http://www.palin4pres2012.com

Note, the website is in danger of crashing due to the flood of readers and supporters signing up to show their interest in a Palin Candidacy. The GOP establishment had better watch out, Sarah Palin and Ron Paul combined with the power of the internet will remove the stranglehold of GOP special interests and the elites who have brought the party to its knees in defeat in the 2008 elections.

  • I'm with you, man. I'd love to see Sarah Palin run for President in 2012, 2016, you name it.

If she breaks off into her own Tea Party Party, even better.

  • As I just commented on Pensito Review: To paraphrase Harry Truman – "She couldn't stand the heat, so she got out of the kitchen".
