The Real Reason for the Campaign Suspension?

Shares

From CNN, it might just be because Ms. Palin isn’t quite ready to debate:

McCain supporter Sen. Lindsey Graham tells CNN the McCain campaign is proposing to the Presidential Debate Commission and the Obama camp that if there’s no bailout deal by Friday, the first presidential debate should take the place of the VP debate, currently scheduled for next Thursday, October 2 in St. Louis.

In this scenario, the vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin would be rescheduled for a date yet to be determined, and take place in Oxford, Mississippi, currently slated to be the site of the first presidential faceoff this Friday.

To be determined. Right.

McCain advisor Doug Holz-Eakin just said we are on “Day ten of a 9/11 style” economic crisis. Is it supposed be encouraging, that if McCain really believes this, he waited 10 days to respond?

And we thought President Bush’s reading of The Pet Goat was pathetic.

  • Great post. I had missed this.

Isn’t this a perfect time for a debate? Shouldn’t the two candidates be talking about this issue? Obama seems ready to answer how he will fix this, McCain… well, McCain just called a time out.
