End This War Now…or Uh, At Some Undefined Politically Safe Time

Matt Taibbi does, and he’s not feeling terribly supportive of the Democrats who have done nothing to actually end the war.

Pelosi seemed especially broken up about having to surrender on Iraq, sounding like an NFL coach in a postgame presser, trying with a straight face to explain why he punted on first-and-goal. “We just didn’t have any plays we liked down there,” said the coach of the 0-15 Dems. “Sometimes you just have to play the field-position game….”

It’s a pretty shameful story. Democratic operatives from the DSCC running anti-war movements as anti-Republican campaigns, retreat after retreat against the least popular President in American history, incredibly weak leadership refusing to act.
