Your Montana Legislature at Work: Education

Shares

Some of the critical issues facing Montanans, from the perspective of your representatives in Helena:

Roger Koopman (R) thinks we need to encourage “positive attributes of marriage.”

Kim Gillan (D) wants to fund a pork project at MSU-Billings for $75,000 to “develop a sustainable core of committed leaders who understand the state’s changing and challenging economy, the increasingly complex issues regarding the health and security of our people, and the management of our natural resources, who are willing to listen to and learn from each other and celebrate cultural diversity and diverse opinions, and who demonstrate a passion for the Last Best Place.”

Mike Jopek (D) thinks school districts should add two more entirely wasteful days of PIR training for teachers. If anything, districts should cut back on the number of these bureaucratic, inefficient days, not adding them.
