Bolton on his way out?

Shares

According to the BBC, John Bolton, our illustrious UN ambassador, may well be on his way out. Democrats need only delay his confirmation until January, and then straight up reject him. Which begs the question – should Democrats do what they can do delay the next SecDef approval until they are sworn in as a majority?

Lincoln Chafee already said no. It’s pretty unfortunate that Chafee had to go for us to take the majority, but even Chafee says it is good for the President to get handed this lesson.

Sigh, he’s a good man. That caucus didn’t deserve him. Too bad he didn’t simply cross over.

And this brilliant plan took how long to prepare? Bush took office in January of 2001. To pull of 9/11 would have taken more planning than could have possibly been done between him taking office and the events themselves. So, it would either have had to been planned by a) the Republican party before the election, or b) by the CIA under CLINTON. So imagine you are GW Bush, and you are handed this plan to blow up a couple thousand Americans. What is more politcally savvy – a) go along with it or b) expose Clinton for plannnig to… Read more »
