Bush? Rambling press conference with angry tone…

Shares

I was hoping that the cable news networks would cut to Tester but a packed press room was busy asking questions of lame-duck Bush.

He sped through a prepared statement that was both full of lukewarm congratulations for the Democrats and some carefully worded statements. Smartly, he spent a lot of time talking about working with the Democats.

His tone towards the media is dismissive and angry.

I was most interested in this concept: After telling people at campaign stops that a vote for the Democrats was a vote for terrorism, he states that (paraphrased): “Let our enemies know that the results of this election will not lessen our resolve.”

Watching Bush in the next few weeks will be very, very interesting.

  • I thought his tone was very unapologetic and angry too. Even my republican brother thought so.

Did you hear when he got to the Rumsfield resignation part? When he said that they sat down yesterday – yesterday – and then he fumbled through some sort of lame excuse making it seem like he wasn’t backed into a corner for this resignation, but that it was a mutually agreed upon decision, independent of the election results? Bull crappy, I say.
