KlindtWatch: Jason on Gutter Politics

Yeah, seriously. I assumed it was April 1 when I read Jennifer McKee’s story today about the Garret Burns flap. If Jason Klindt can attack someone for engaging in gutter politics, one can only assume that next week, Conrad himself will issue a press release attacking someone for being a racist and a sexist.

Given Burns’ level of sleaze, I have no doubt that there was some influence peddling here.  It’s worth noting that Burns or Klindt never actually refute the substance of claims against the Senator, relying on hostile rhetoric. Of course, the Montana Democratic Party acting sloppily isn’t exactly news.

McKee’s been doing some solid reporting on this race, but Larry Sabato? Come on.
